We meet on the second Monday of every month, at the Belmont Cinema in Aberdeen at 6:30pm. Here we plan the activities which will increase the profile of our group in the area, and get our message across to more people. We are always delighted to see new faces. If you want to meet us and find out more about what we do, please come along. So far we have organised many activities in the local area.

We have organised a demonstration outside a local MP's offices, a remembrance of Hiroshima, trips to protest outside Faslane and Aldermaston, an anti-war poetry evening, and many other events. If you want to be involved, then please get in contact with us.

We also have an email list of contacts, and regularly email information about local activities, peace issues and other related issues and events taking place. This also acts as a forum for anyone on the list to contribute. If you want to join this list, please send us an email and we will add your address to the list. Our email address is on our contacts page.

We are gathering signatures for our petition to make Aberdeen City Council a Nuclear Free Local Authority. We currently have hundreds of signatures for our petition, but always need more. If you want to add your name to our petition, please come and meet us at our stall. We hold stalls outside Marks and Spencer on the last Saturday of every month, from 11:00 – 13:00.

Our next event will be on August 6th.   We will float 200 peace lanterns on the River Dee to commemorate the 200, 000 victims of the nuclear bomb attack on Hiroshima.

When we staged this event last year we attracted a large crowd of appreciative supporters and excellent press coverage.  This year, 2008, we intend to stage a similar event with music, song and an even larger crowd of supporters.

Further details will follow – or see contact us for how to find out more information.
